Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones New Brain uses. It's part of our privacy policy and comes from [Company legal name].
1. The short version
The New Brain website sets no cookies and doesn't track you across other sites. The New Brain app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and secure.
2. On trynewbrain.com
This website sets no cookies. We count visits with PostHog, hosted in the EU, set up so it stores nothing in your browser: no cookies and no local storage. It records which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked, never your name or email address. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, it doesn't load. The privacy policy explains what it collects.
If you fill in a form, such as the notify-me form or the New Brain Card waitlist, we use what you enter only to answer that request.
3. In the New Brain app (app.trynewbrain.com)
The app sets strictly necessary cookies only:
| Purpose | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages | Your session, or until you sign out [TODO: confirm] |
| Security | Protects forms and sign-in from forgery and abuse | Your session |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as your chosen brain | [TODO: confirm] |
Our sign-in provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies during sign-in. [TODO: name it in the sub-processor list.]
These cookies are needed for the app to work, so they don't need your consent. If you block them in your browser, you won't be able to sign in.
4. Controlling cookies
You can see and delete cookies in your browser's settings, and block them for any site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies stops sign-in from working.
5. Changes
If we add cookies that aren't strictly necessary, we'll update this page and ask for your consent before setting them.
