The basics

What is New Brain?
New Brain is one memory that ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools all share. You save decisions, notes, documents and links to it, or it picks them up from Notion, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, Jira and GitHub. Any AI tool you connect can read from it and save to it, and every answer shows where it came from and when.
Who is New Brain for?
People who use more than one AI tool and are tired of explaining themselves to each one: founders, consultants, operators and small teams. You don't need to be technical.
How is New Brain different from the memory built into ChatGPT or Claude?
That memory stays inside one tool and belongs to one person. New Brain works across all your AI tools, can be shared with a team, keeps the history when facts change, and shows the source of every answer. You can also import your ChatGPT and Claude history.
What does "a source and a date on every answer" mean?
Each answer says where it came from (an email, a document, a meeting, a chat with an AI tool) and when, with a link to open it. If New Brain doesn't know, it says so instead of guessing.
What kinds of things does it keep?
Five kinds: decisions, facts, status, preferences and lessons. Each one keeps its source, its date and a history of what it replaced.

Using it

Which AI tools work with New Brain?

ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI, each with a setup guide. Other AI tools that can connect to outside services can use it too.

Which apps can New Brain bring in?

Notion, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, Jira and GitHub, plus Obsidian vaults and folders on the desktop app, files you drop in, and your ChatGPT and Claude history.

What if an AI tool saves something wrong?
Anything an AI tool works out on its own waits in To check until you keep, fix or remove it. If something wrong was already kept, fix it and the old version stays in history, marked as replaced.
Can New Brain record meetings?
Today you can upload a recording on the web and get a summary, the decisions and the action items, each linked to the moment it was said. Recording a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call from your laptop with no bot joining, and recording in the room from your phone, come with the desktop and phone apps.
Is there a desktop or phone app?

They're coming soon: desktop for Mac and Windows, and phone apps for iPhone and Android. New Brain works in your browser today. Leave your email on the download page and we'll tell you when they're ready.

Teams

Can my team share one brain?

Yes. A company brain has shared areas for the team and a private area for each person. You choose who can see each area and which AI tools can use it.

Does it support single sign-on?
Yes, on the Business plan, with staff added and removed automatically from your identity provider. Every plan can sign in with email, Google, Microsoft or Apple.

Pricing

How much does New Brain cost?

There's a free plan. Pro is $15 a month billed yearly, or $18 month to month. Team is $25 per person a month billed yearly (three people minimum). Business starts at $45 per person a month for 25 people and up. Paid plans open at public launch; until then everyone uses the free plan.

Do AI tool look-ups count against my plan?
On paid plans, no: what ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools do with New Brain is unlimited under fair use. The free plan includes 1,000 a month. Plans limit only the questions you ask in New Brain itself.
What happens when I hit a limit?
New Brain warns you at 80%. If you run out, it tells you plainly and says when the limit resets. Reading and exporting your brain are never blocked.

Privacy and security

Is my data used to train AI models?
No. We never use your data to train AI models. It's written into our terms.
Is my data encrypted?

Yes, on the way in and while it's kept. Your original files, recordings and transcripts are encrypted again with a key that belongs to your brain alone.

Can I export or delete my data?
Yes, at any time. Export everything as Markdown and JSON with sources and history. Delete one item or your whole brain; a deleted brain is gone from our systems, backups included, within 30 days.
Where is my data stored?
In the US or the EU. On Business you choose when you create the brain.

What is New Brain Card?

A recorder the size of a bank card that lives in your wallet. Press its orange core to record a meeting, and the notes go to New Brain. We're designing it now; join the waitlist to hear first.

How much is it, and when does it ship?
We haven't set a price or a date. Waitlist members hear first, with an early-member price.
